Discovering Nature Based Learning

Inquiry Based Learning
Nature Based Learning

Besides Project Based Learning and Problem Based Learning there is Inquiry Based Learning.  Nature Based Learning is more similar to Inquiry Based Learning, but the elements of all three methodologies are in Nature Based Learning.

This video explains the teaching methodology Inquiry-Based Learning. It was created for the Inspiring Science Education Project as part of a series of videos to promote the use of Inquiry-Based Learning.

After looking at Project Based Learning, Problem Based Learning and Inquiry Based Learning...we move on to the real topic, Nature Based Learning.  It is a thing, it is not just a creation of John Davis.  Thousands and thousands of teachers and educators have learned to stimulate brain cells, build collaborative skills, and teach real life important lessons to students.  Nature Based Learning is exciting.

NBL Mission

Our mission is to get students into nature to explore, discover, analyze, learn, collaborate with others about nature.  The wonders of the world await us, and by asking questions, direction students attention, we will all learn to embrace nature and hopefully grow to understand and love it.

We hope to encourage this discovery by writing nature books (NBL: Pondering Nature) and by developing great challenges for students.
